CofE Church Chair

Project scope

In 2012 the Church of England ran a competition to design a new church chair. Working in a small team at Maynard Design we designed a chair that could stack, interlock with neighbouring chairs and also accommodate books and order of service sheets in the backrest.

There were two designs of chair, one with arm rests and one without. The two designs could be linked in an alternating pattern with the arm rests on one chair being shared with its neighbour.
